Thesis Film | September 24, 2006
This should, mostlikely, without almost all doubt, be my last year at
Point Park University.
After switching to part-time status and postponing my thesis film two years ago, I finally have almost all of my credits to finish school. All I need to do now is
collect 15 elective credits via
CLEP testing and
experiential learning and complete two semesters of senior filmmaking with a public screening
of my thesis film in the spring of 2007.
I've begun work on my thesis film, and I think I've settled on an idea. If you'd like to read the first draft of my script, go

thesis film project page.

Golden Palace | September 20, 2006
While there may be many Chinese food restuarants bearing the title 'Golden Palace,' only one comes to mind when I think of my favorite
Chinese place. So, this is a little bumper for the true Golden Palace on Mount Washington in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their service
is amazing in many ways. For one, the dining room experience is always fun with the quick-witted waiter whose name I do not know. The
dining room is also a great place to duck out of the harsh wintery weather sure to be found on the top of Mount Washington from
December on through February. If you order take-out, don't worry about calling first. Just walk in, make your selection, and carry out
delicious Chinese cuisine in about five minutes. Their spiciness scale is fantastic, too. You can choose your heat preference on a
scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the most mild and 10 is hot enough that if you have to ask how hot it is, you shouldn't get it. (FYI:
don't question the '10 out of 10,' even if you think you're Superman.) Too cool the blaze in your mouth, you're sure to be offered a
Tsingtao beer with the guarantee that they aren't carding anyone for their age.
GO TO GOLDEN PALACE!

Welcome | September 11, 2006
After many months of messing around with different webpage ideas, I've settled on this design for a while. It was tucked away at
pquijal.com/newstart until today when I moved it out of hiding to the root of my pquijal.com directory. Needless to say, not
everything is finished on this site, but I'm proud to say my gallery is stuffed with photos that won't matter much to anyone but
myself, and my projects page is filling up with things I've done that aren't important to you.
You may find some interesting stuff in the
projects and
various albums in the gallery.
When the media section is complete, a lot of my film and video projects from school will be available along with other miscellany. The
formats will differ with some projects; so, some will be embedded while others will have to be downloaded. Eww. I just need to take
some time to convert them all to flash video.

Here's something I've been mixing as a summer drink at my apartment lately. It contains orange juice, cranberry juice, Sprite, and vodka. The proportions are most
near to 2:2:2:1, respectively. I usually drink it while I'm playing games, and it would probably been even better as a gaming drink if the Sprite were replaced with Citrus X or Lime Wrecker
Rip It.
