Various Starcraft: NATO
Intro
NATO is a style of gameplay for Starcraft. Below I have a quick description of how to setup teams and a spreadshead for creating teams. I'd like to get some screenshots and more detailed instructions up here eventually. For now, enjoy!
Gameplay
Fill in a player's name for each of the slots in the 'Player' column. To configure allies, select any two ally lists (they do not have to be adjacent). Whichever numbers are at the intersection of the row with your name and the columns of the selected allies will be the allies you set once you are in the game. For example, if you are Player 1, and the ally lists selected are Ally 4 and Ally 7, you will set your allies to be Player 5 and Player 8.

If you examine the setup, you'll see that because you are allied with Player 5 and Player 8, you'll also show up in both of their ally configurations. Additionally, they each will have one ally with whom you are not allied. Therefore, while they cannot attack their allies, their other ally may attack you, and if you call on them for support, they will not be able to offer it unless they willingly choose to force their units to attack one of their own allies. Furthermore, if they do favor you as a greater ally, this may be advantageous, but attacking any ally can damage your chances at success.

To setup the game, pick a map that supports 8 players and set the game type to Free For All. As soon as the game begins, set your two allies. Also, set them to have shared vision, and select shared victory. Of course, in order for this style of game play to work as it is intended, you must leave your allegiance settings alone once the game has begun.
